Privacy policy

I. Description of the Open Learning Virtual Learning Environment Service

open.ktu.edu is an open Virtual Learning Environment (hereinafter - VLE) - for the provision of educational content and open content. VLE helps to better integrate formal and non-formal learning scenarios, and also makes users of this environment more motivated to take responsibility for their own learning outcomes.

II. Policy coverage (for whom this document is intended)

The privacy policy defines the terms:

• data subject - means a natural person whose personal data are collected, stored or processed (see also the definition of user below);
  
• data controller -  means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or any other body which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data, where the purposes, conditions and means of processing are laid down in Union or member state law;
• processor - means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or any other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller;
  
• personal data - means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (data subject); a person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to one or more specific physical, physiological, mental, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social characteristics of that person;
  
• processing of personal data - means any operation or operations carried out on personal data by automated or non-automated means, such as collection, recording, sorting, storage, adaptation or modification, reproduction, retrieval, use, disclosure, transmission, distribution or other making available; as well as comparison or merging, blocking, deleting or destroying;
  
• supervisory authority - means the independent public supervisory authority established by a member state in accordance with Article 51 (Reg. UE 679/2016); (Reg. UE 679/2016);
• „third party"  - means any natural or legal person, public authority, agency or any other body, other than the data subject, the controller, the processor and persons directly authorized by the controller or the processor to process personal data;

This policy also uses the following terms:

• website - means an online resource accessible through domain names;
• user or data subject - means an internet user of a website whose identity is known or can be directly or indirectly established.

Purposes and legal basis

The VLE collects and processes your personal data for the following purposes and on this legal basis:

• to give you access to and use of the VLE platform;
• to verify your identity, register, create and maintain your user account;
• to enable the use of the platform for security purposes to be monitored.

Legal basis:

• KTU collects and processes personal data for the specified purposes and representing the interests of the data controllers directly concerned, based on the GDPR and with due regard for the legitimate interests of itself and other project participants.
• In fulfillment of contractual obligations: to provide access to a distance learning platform.
• Consent: when children are under the age of 16, personal data will be processed if and only to the extent that the consent has been given or authorized by the child's parents or guardian.

III. What personal data is collected?

In order to provide you with access to the VLE training platform, we have a legitimate basis for processing the following personal data about you:

• For registration and user account
  • Role (Student or Teacher);
  • Name or Alias (or Account Name);
  • Email address;
  • School / Institution and class / level;
  • Photo or Video;
• Platform support and for security reasons
  • IP address;
  • Login time and date;
  • EdupersonTargertID;
  • Journal data;
• During login and use of the website
  • IP address;
  • Cookie information with navigation data on the website.

IV. When and how do we share personal data?

If necessary, we may share your personal data with environmental authorities, who also follow the same provisions and adhere to the strictest security and data protection requirements to ensure proper protection of your personal data.

Due to the collaboration features of the VLE platform, some personal data may be visible to other users of the platform.

V. Retention of personal data

Your personal data will be processed until you use the VLE platform or until the scheduled end of your studies. After this period, your personal data will become anonymous and will only be used for statistical calculations, unless you renew your consent to the processing of personal data while continuing the learning / study process.

VI. Security

To ensure the security of your personal data, we use the following tools:

• Minimizing the amount of personal data collected;
• Pseudo-anonymous personal data - edupersonTargetID;
• A firewall is used to prevent unauthorized external access;
• Controlled, restricted and controlled access to personal data;
• Backups and backups;
• Regular tests of the effectiveness of the tools used;
• Security and encrypted communication channels.

VII. Your rights

Under the GDPR (Article 15 et seq.), You have the following rights with regard to personal data:

• You have the right to request access to your personal data;
• You have the right to request correction of the information;
• You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data;
• You have the right to data portability;
• You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information for one of the reasons set out in Article 17;
• You have the right to complain to the supervisory authority about your personal data processing activities if you believe that your data is not being processed as described in this Privacy Policy;
• You also have the following rights with respect to the data we process with your consent:
• You have the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing of personal data based on the consent prior to the withdrawal.

VIII. Complaints / Termination

If the User has any objections or complaints regarding the processing of his / her personal data, he / she has the right to submit a free-form request or complaint to the University Data Protection Officer, e-mail. by e-mail privacy@ktu.lt or at K. • Bitte lesen Sie die Regeln für die Nutzung der Offene virtuelle Lernumgebung (VLE) (im Folgenden die Regeln), bevor Sie sich registrieren und die VLE nutzen. Bei der Nutzung des VLE geht die Universität davon aus, dass der Vertreter mit den Regeln vertraut ist, ihnen zustimmt und sich verpflichtet, sie einzuhalten.
• Die Universität kann die Regeln, die Bedingungen für die Registrierung im VLE, die Funktionalität des Systems und die darin angebotenen Dienste einseitig ändern.

Zweck und Verwendung

• VLE wurde entwickelt, um Bildungsinhalte für z. B. Kurse bereitzustellen, die für ein bestimmtes Publikum, oder alle in der Umgebung registrierten Nutzer bestimmt sein können oder für die Öffentlichkeit – z.B. einen Gast - zugänglich sind.
• Der gesamte Bildungsprozess kann im Kurs realisiert werden. Der Inhalt des Kurses, des Themas oder des Moduls wird präsentiert durch
  • Diskussionen (Diskussionsforen, Chats, Videokonferenzen, persönliche Nachrichten oder E-Mail),
  • praktische Aufgaben,
  • kollaborative Aktivitäten oder Gruppenarbeit,
  • Bewertung und Mittel zur Überprüfung des Wissens: Tests, Umfragen usw...
• Das VLE kann von der/den registrierten Person(en) (im Folgenden als Nutzer:in) bezeichnet) genutzt werden, indem sie ihre Anmeldedaten in das Anmeldeformular im VLE eingeben oder von einer/ einem registrierten Nutzer:in, die/der sich über andere externe Systeme (z.B. über das einheitliche Anmeldesystem der KTU) mit dem System verbunden hat, oder indem der Administrator die/den Nutzer:in manuell hinzufügt und die Anmeldedaten bereitstellt. Der/ Dem Nutzer:in ist es untersagt, das VLE für illegale Aktivitäten zu nutzen.
• Durch die Registrierung und/ oder Nutzung des VLE wird die/der Nutzer:in zu/zum Verwalter:in ihrer/ seiner Anmeldedaten. Sie/ Er sorgt für die Sicherheit ihrer/
• seiner Anmeldedaten und die Verwaltung der persönlichen Einstellungen des VLE. Die/ Der Nutzer:in ist voll verantwortlich für die Handlungen der in ihrem/ seinem Namen angemeldeten Personen. Jede:r Nutzer:in verpflichtet sich, die Universität unverzüglich über den Verlust von Zugangsdaten und/ oder illegale Nutzung zu informieren.
• Die/Der Nutzer:in stimmt zu, dass die Daten, die sie/ er während oder nach der VLE-Registrierung angibt, öffentlich sind und den VLE-Besuchern zur Verfügung stehen.
• Die Registrierung und Nutzung des VLE ist kostenlos.
• Die/Der Nutzer:in übernimmt die volle Verantwortung für die Übereinstimmung des Inhalts der Anzeige mit den Bedingungen der Regeln und den Rechtsakten der Republik Litauen.
• Das VLE darf keine irreführenden, beleidigenden oder sonstigen unangemessenen Inhalte oder Vorschläge, die den Gesetzen der Republik Litauen und den geltenden moralischen Normen widersprechen, veröffentlichen.
• Die Universität hat das Recht, jederzeit nach eigenem Ermessen Inserate oder andere von/ vom der/ dem Nutzer:in zur Verfügung gestellte Informationen zu entfernen, Inserate (Informationen) unsichtbar zu machen, die Registrierung der/ des Nutzerin/ Nutzers zu löschen, zu sperre oder die veröffentlichten Inhalte der/ des Nutzerin/ Nutzers zu bearbeiten, wenn dieser nach Ansicht der Universität gegen die Regeln und geltendes Recht verstößt, unrichtige, ungenaue, unvollständige und/oder irreführende Informationen zur Verfügung gestellt hat, bei der Registrierung oder Nutzung des VLE absichtlich und wissentlich betrügerische oder falsche Informationen weitergegeben hat oder nach Ansicht der Universität anderweitig unangemessen gehandelt hat.
• Die Universität stellt die technischen Mittel und die Unterstützung für die Veröffentlichung von Informationen im VLE zur Verfügung, übernimmt jedoch nicht die Verantwortung für den eingereichten Inhalt des E-Kurses und seine Aktualisierung, wenn der Inhalt von einer dritten Partei bereitgestellt wird. Der Inhalt des E-Kurses wird von den Entwicklern des E-Kurses bereitgestellt und verwaltet

Datenschutz

Diese VLE-Site ist für jedermann zugänglich, so dass alle Daten, die die/ der Nutzer:in selbst in Diskussionsforen oder an anderer Stelle veröffentlicht, von jedermann gesehen und zitiert, kopiert oder anderweitig verwendet werden können. Die/ Der Nutzer:in ist nicht verpflichtet, seine Daten, die er privat halten möchte, zu veröffentlichen.

Das VLE respektiert die Privatsphäre aller Nutzer:innrn, so dass sie als Teilnehmende nicht verpflichtet sind, den tatsächlichen Namen zu verwenden, um sich bei diesem VLE zu registrieren. Wenn jedoch z. B. der Kurs das Erreichen und Ausstellen einer Leistung oder eines digitalen Zertifikats oder einer anderen Bewertung vorsieht, wird der Name so angezeigt, wie er im Profil des Nutzers eingetragen ist.

Um einen zielgerichteten und informativen Lernprozess zu organisieren und damit das VLE richtig funktioniert, ist die E-Mail-Adresse des Nutzers erforderlich. Eine E-Mail-Adresse, die nicht an Dritte weitergegeben oder verkauft wird. VMA E-Kurse oder Systemnachrichten für eine bestimmte Umgebung können per Post und nach der Schulung/dem Abschluss des E-Kurses an die E-Mail Adresse der/des Nutzer:in gesendet werden. E-Mails werden immer in Diskussionsforen verschickt. E-Mails können

abbestellt werden, indem man auf den Link "Abbestellen" in der E-Mail klickt, die/ der Nutzer:in kann die eingehenden Nachrichten in seinem Benutzerprofil verwalten, indem sie/ er "Benachrichtigungseinstellungen" wählt.
